Before people get too committed to arguing on social media about the holidays, specifically Halloween in this episode, let’s look at the history. Typically, a lot of people look at holidays culturally, but not historically—usually absent of a Biblical view. There is no decision or activity that has NO effect on our souls, whether we feel it or not. This is not a place to get on any particular high-horse, but my goal here is to get us thinking about our effectiveness. We can be right but be wrong at the same time. Something we cannot do is pick a soapbox and not apply it across the board. Tyler really wants to have a Hallelujah Night, Josh talks about pretending they weren’t home as a kid, and I get a little passionate about Jesus’s authority. Next episode, we will talk about Advent, so stay tuned.
